Terms of Use

These terms set the basic rules for using Dearest.

Effective July 13, 2026.

Using Dearest

You may use Dearest to create and share family plans. You are responsible for the information you add, the people you invite, and keeping invite and calendar links appropriately private.

Uploaded photos retain embedded metadata. This can include capture time, device details, descriptions, and location coordinates. Review photos and their metadata before sharing a plan or note link.

Acceptable use

Do not use Dearest to break the law, harm another person, access a family space without permission, interfere with the service, or upload malicious or infringing content.

AI features

AI-generated plans, proposed additions, and answers can be incomplete or wrong. Review dates, times, assignments, travel details, allergies, and other important information before relying on or confirming them. AI-generated plans, imports, forwarded emails, and chat additions are drafts and are not saved to the family planner until someone in the family approves them. Dearest is an organizing tool, not professional medical, legal, financial, or safety advice.

Availability and changes

Features, limits, and availability may change, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. We may suspend abusive access or discontinue the service with reasonable notice when practical.

Your content

You keep ownership of information you add. You give Dearest permission to store, process, and transmit it only as needed to provide and protect the service.

Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided as available without guarantees that it will always be error-free. To the extent permitted by law, Dearest is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service.
