Delete your Dearest account
You can start account deletion directly in Dearest. The available choice depends on whether you own the family space or joined as a member.
Delete from the iPhone app
- Open Dearest and open Settings.
- Tap Data & access.
- If you own the family space, tap Delete family space, enter the family name, and confirm. If you are a member, tap Leave family and confirm.
Delete from the web
- Sign in at www.dearest.co and open Settings.
- Open Data & access.
- If you own the family space, open Delete family space, enter the family name, and confirm. If you are a member, choose Delete my membership and confirm.
What deletion removes
Family-space owners: deleting the family space permanently removes its memberships, plans, tasks, notes, calendars, attachments, invitations, calendar subscriptions, and private sharing links. This cannot be undone.
Family members: deleting your membership removes your member profile, verified email, recovery access, notification registrations, access to that family space, and shared conversation content attributable to your account. Shared planning content that is not attributable to your account can remain for the other members.
Dearest may retain limited records only when required for security, fraud prevention, or legal obligations, and only for as long as required.
Successful deletion signs you out of Dearest on that device.
If you cannot sign in
Email hello@dearest.co from the verified email connected to the family space. We will need to verify the request before changing an account. Do not send invitation, calendar, sharing, or sign-in links.
